Milton Keynes Junior League A big well done and thank you to all those who have swum in the first two rounds of the Junior League. As you know we gained promotion to Division One for this year and the standard of swimming and competition has been extremely high. We are delighted to have held our own so far and with a similar performance in the final round in September we could well retain our place in the top division. Whether you are swimming individual events or are part of the relay teams you are equally valued by the club and your contribution and effort is equally important to the success of the team. So, keep up the training, work on your starts and turns and we can look forward to further success in September. Congratulations to all of you on your performances so far: Alice Fowle, Sarah Shepherd, Emma Anderson, Elizabeth Neill, Lillian Harper, Deeseray Demafeliz, Charlotte Neill, Zoe Hancock, Isabelle Bradford, Katie Willis, Charlotte Evans, Rebecca Softley, Ayushi Mahesh, Sophie Hawkins, Jessica Hawkins, Charlotte Allen, Hannah Morgan, Jay Bell, Scott Ellis, Jonathan Hoft, Daniel Lindars, Krish Shah, Parth Shah, Matthew Man, Ali Caglayan, Jack Ghey, Ben Nurse, Curtis Foster, Nathanael Armstrong, Henry Sansom, James Anderson, Kieran Lindars, Ronan Denton, Jack Nancarrow. Coach fares Despite a rise in the cost of coach hire, fares asked of swimmers and supporters have not been increased for over 10 years. We have a busy programme this year requiring an increase in coach travel and whilst the club will continue to finance a large part of this commitment it is not possible to sustain the level of subsidy provided in the past. We have therefore agreed an increase to £5 per family from 1st February i.e. £5 for the first swimmer with supporters and other swimming members of the family travelling free. The committee feels it is important that the club continues to provide team transport and therefore, although regretted, this increase is unavoidable.
